Crossbite
Upper back teeth inside lowers
When the upper jaw is too narrow to fit with the lower jaw, the upper back teeth are inside the lowers. In addition, a narrow upper jaw has too little space and the front teeth become crowded. This patient had crossbites on both left and right back teeth and he had to slide his jaw to one side just to bite. Expansion of the upper jaw corrected not only the crossbites, but eliminated the jaw shift, relieved the crowding and reduced the chance of the his face being deformed. He is now very happy with the new look of his teeth.
